Children's Mobile Intensive Crisis Stabilization
Children's Mobile Intensive Crisis Stabilization (C-MICS) are services to assist children in immediate crisis to work toward recovery in the least restrictive setting through the use of short-term interventions.
- C-MICS is provided to anyone under age 21 with SED, I/DD, SUD diagnosis, in Lapeer County identified as needing mobile crisis services by calling 810-667-0500 or by walk-in at Lapeer CMH building.
- Services are available Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- C-MICS is provided by a team of master’s level clinicians and parent support partners
The goal of C-MICS is to provide immediate evaluations and interventions for children in crisis (at risk for hospitalization). Staff will work with families to use support systems in place whenever possible. C-MICS support will help provide an alternative to hospitalization for serious mental health conditions, that may stabilize within a short period of time. If a child does not receive services at LCCMH, staff will provide assistance in linking families to services.
